The natural world is a place of untold beauty and fascinating wonder, one that all of us at some level are intimately connected to. Yet it is not without its dangers as well, a fact that that in any ways enhances its charm. Mother Nature is ultimately unpredictable and fiercely uncompromising, and though she provides us with everything from our basic necessities to creative inspiration, she must always be treated with respect and never be taken lightly.
Project Tiger
Started in 1973, Project Tiger scheme is a scheme of Government of India which aims to maintain a sizeable tiger population inIndia. Initially the project started with 9 tiger reserves which had a population 268 of tigers. At present there are 27 tiger reserves under the Project and it boasts of a tiger population of 1498 tigers. 1.14% of the total geographical area of the country is under the Tiger Project.
WWF
The organization's mission is to stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. The organization plans to do this by conserving the world’s biological diversity, ensuring that the use of renewable resources is sustainable and by promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption. WWF selected Chi-Chi, a panda at the London Zoo to stand as a symbol for the conservation movement as a whole. When established in 1961, it was known as the "World Wildlife fund". However as the organization grew over the 1970s and 80s, its legal name became “World Wide Fund for Nature" Presently the WWF operates 110re than 100 countries, currently funding 2,000 conservation projects and employs almost 4,000 people across the planet.
IUCN World Conservation Union
The World Conservation Union is the world's largest and most important conservation network. TheUnionbrings together 83 States, 110 government agencies, more than 800 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and some 10,000 scientists and experts from 181 countries in a unique worldwide partnership. TheUnion's mission is to influence, encourage and assist societies throughout the world to conserve the integrity and diversity of nature and to ensure that any use of natural resources is equitable and ecologically sustainable. Its headquarters are inGland,Switzerland.

Birdlife International is a global partnership of conservation organizations that strive to conserve birds, their habitats and global biodiversity. Birdlife Partners operate in over 100 countries and territories worldwide.
PETA
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is an international nonprofit charitable organization based in Norfolk, Virginia, with affiliates in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, India, and the Asia Pacific Region. Founded in 1980, PETA is dedicated to establishing and defending the rights of all animals. PETA operates under the simple principle that animals do not belong to human beings to be used for eating, wearing, experimenting on, or for use in entertainment PITA educates policymakers and the public about animal abuse and promotes kind treatment of animals. PETA's animal protection work brings together members of the scientific, judicial. and legislative communities to stop abusive practices.
The Bishnois are a community of nature worshippers in the state of Rajasthan,India. The sect was founded by Guru Jambheshwar who laid down 29 principles to be followed by the sect. Bish means 20 and noi means 9. killing animals and felling trees were banned by the community.
