EARTH LIKE PLANET-Kepler-22b[/caption]The planet, named KEPLER-22b is in the habitable zone around a star very similar to the sun. Habitable zone refers to the narrow band around a star where water can exist as a liquid. Kepler 22-b also has a temperature which is conductive to life.
SETI, the Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence, which had shut down due to lack of funds is now back in operation again. The Allen Telescope Array (ATA) will be searching the planets found by the kepler Telescope for signs of life.
